ANALYSIS OF PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PARAMETERS OF THE TERMITE MOUNDS FROM INDUSTRIAL AREA (MIDC) OF SHRIRAMPUR

Termites are the Eusocial Isopteran insects belonging to Family Termitidae. Termites are important organisms in the natural food chain. Because they feeds on the all types of organic matter and vanish them. Termites are observed in the area where plenty of organic matter is there. So at the Shrirampur MIDC Corporation area Predominant Termite mounds are found. These Termites mounds abundantly in the open, unused and empty plots. So Thatswhy this areas taken for study. The Soil samples are collected from 20 different sites. After that various Physico-chemical parameters of soils were analysed. The soil of Termite Mounds and Surrounding Control soil showing significant difference in between them.白蚁为隶属于白蚁科（Termitidae）的真社会性（Eusocial）等翅目（Isopteran）昆虫。白蚁是自然食物链中的重要生物类群，因其可摄食各类有机质并将其降解消解。白蚁常出没于有机质富集的区域，因此在斯里兰布尔MIDC公司（Shrirampur MIDC Corporation）区域内可发现大量优势白蚁丘。此类白蚁丘在开阔、闲置且荒芜的地块中分布极为密集，故而本研究选取该区域作为研究对象。研究人员从20个不同采样点采集土壤样本，随后对土壤的各项理化参数（Physico-chemical parameters）开展检测分析。结果表明，白蚁丘土壤与周边对照土壤之间存在显著差异。
