资源简介:
This study aimed to verify whether exposure to a commercial formulation of the chlorantraniliprole insecticide, which is used on rice crops, alters biochemical parameters in silver catfish (Rhamdia quelen). Fifty-four animals were distributed in six units per tank (n=6/repetition), in triplicate for each treatment: T1 - control (no insecticide), T2 (0.02 μg/L insecticide) and T3 (0.20 μg/L insecticide). Exposure lasted 24 or 96h, followed by a 96-h recovery in water free of pesticide. Results indicated biochemical changes in the levels of cortisol, glucose, lactate and plasma protein as well as few ionic alterations in the gills during exposure and recovery. The presence of chlorantraniliprole at 0.02 and 0.20 μg/L in water for acute exposure (sub-lethal) of silver catfish triggered osmoregulatory and/or biochemical imbalance under the tested conditions, and most of these alterations did not recover within 96h in clear water.
