milk somatic cell transcriptome of Jakhrana and Jamunapari goat

we conducted transcriptomic analysis of the milk somatic cells obtained from the early and late lactation stages of the Jhakrana breed. The average uniquely mapped percentage for both group was 69.5% against the ARS1.2 Capra hircus reference assembly. The FPKM values were used to identify differentially expressed genes as well as commonly expressed genes between these two phases. The CEGs (commonly expressed genes) suggest the abundance of genes encoding antimicrobial peptides and proteins imparting lubrication during early lactation, whereas during the late lactation-the genes coding major milk proteins were abundant.
