Porewater geochemistry of sediment core M186_81-1@en

The main goal of RV Meteor expedition M186 was to investigate fluid dynamics on the Azores Plateau, Central North Atlantic Ocean. The work is systematic continuation of multiple expeditions (e.g. M113, M141/1 and M162) in the region in the last decade. The first results of M186 confirm a diverse picture of fluid chemistry that was already known from previous cruises. Fluids dynamics and systematics are diverse here, shown by different trends in major elemental composition in short distance.北大西洋中部亚速尔高原流体动力学研究是“流星号（RV Meteor）”科考航次M186的核心目标。本项工作是近十年间该海域多次科考航次（如M113、M141/1及M162）研究的系统性延续。M186航次的首批成果证实了流体化学特征的多样性，该特征已在以往航次中被探明。该区域的流体动力学特征与体系规律具有显著多样性，短距离范围内主量元素组成的差异化变化趋势即可印证这一点。
