2021 Drone Videos of Predator-Prey Interactions in Baitballs off Baja California

The data comprises 8 drone videos showing ocean predator prey interactions, each about 5 minutes in length, and their respective flight logs. The videos follow baitballs of prey fish under attack by various predators with the striped marlin principal among them. The videos were all filmed in the Pacific ocean, just offshore to the southwest of Baja California Sur, Mexico (roughly 24°00'00.0"N 112°00'00.0"W). All the filming took place on either November 12th or 13th, 2021, and all within the local hours of roughly 9h to 15h. In addition to these drone videos is another calibration drone video showing placed markers on the ground, recorded at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries in Berlin, used to measure the ground truth marker positions with an RTK measurement tool, as well as an Excel file depicting the mapping between the baitball videos and filming dates.
