Aerial images of sea ice surfaces recorded for the project TEMPO joining PS106 campaigns PASCAL and SiPCA north of Svalbard in May/June/July 2017

The dataset contains aerial RGB images and supplementary data of scientific helicopter missions during Polarstern cruise PS106/1 - PASCAL and PS106/2 - SiPCA. Measurements were performened within the secondary user project TEMPO. Focus of the helicopter flights was on recording melt pond development in its early phase of the summer season. Images were recorded downwards every 4 seconds with a CANON EOS 1D Mark III DSLR + CANON EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM lens.本数据集涵盖极星号（Polarstern）科考航次PS106/1-PASCAL与PS106/2-SiPCA期间，科学直升机科考作业获取的航拍RGB图像及辅助数据。相关测量工作由二级用户项目TEMPO组织实施。本次直升机飞行任务的核心研究目标为记录夏季初期冰面融池的演化进程。拍摄环节采用佳能（CANON）EOS-1D Mark III数码单反相机，搭配佳能EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM镜头，以每4秒一次的频率向下采集图像。
