资源简介:
Constructed wetlands are a cost-effective technology for wastewater treatment in which plant-microorganism relationships play a key role in transforming pollutants. In this study, the spatial organization of microbial transformation of inorganic sulfur compounds was investigated in two wetland models planted with Juncus effusus. Sulfate reduction and reoxidation of sulfide/sulfur occurred simultaneously along flow paths. Bacterial communities on the roots and in the porewater differed, with partitioning of sulfur-transforming bacteria into different niches of the models.
