The recombination S. cerevisiae strain overexpressing XR and XDH from Pichia stipitis shown different ability to use xylose and different accumulation of xylitol with those from Candida tropicalis. To better understand the mechanism of these differences, comparative RNA-seq analysis was conducted between the strains we constructed, and the results could further guide us to promote the fermenting property of the recombination strains.
