This Bioproject comprises 150 bp paired-end Illumina reads derived from sporophyte leaf tissue and whole gametophytes of three individuals of the fern Polypodium amorphum Suksdorf. These three individuals were collected from wild populations and then transferred/maintained in common greenhouse conditions for 18 months before harvesting sterile leaf lamina. Spores from each individual were germinated in sterile conditions and gametophytes were harvested 55 days after germination and before producing gametangia. These read data were used for a study of differential gene expression patterns of sporophyte and gametophyte tissue.
