RNA sequencing of human CD8+ T cell subsets to compare hypofunctional exhausted cells (TEX) to fully activated effector cells (TEFF). Overall design: Primary human CD8+ T cells from three healthy donors were TCR-transduced and stimulated with cognate antigen (NY-ESO-1) to generate effector cells (TEFF, 1x stimulation) and exhausted cells (TEX, 4x stimulation).
