Whole-genome and structural characterization of dengue virus during the 2024 local outbreaks in Xishuangbanna

For this study, we collected blood samples from dengue fever patients during the peak epidemic season at Jinghong People's Hospital, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province in 2024. This research reports the serotyping results of DENV in this outbreak and performs phylogenetic analysis based on the complete gene sequence of the virus structure and the E protein sequence to understand the genetic characteristics, potential origins and evolution of the virus.
