DEVICE AND METHOD FOR COATING WORKPIECES

The invention relates to a device for coating workpieces which preferably consist at least in some portions of wood， wood materials， a plastics material， aluminum or the like， said device having: a feed device for feeding a coating material; a pressing device for pressing the coating material onto a surface of a workpiece; a conveyor device for inducing a relative movement between the pressing device and the relevant workpiece; and an activation device for activating an adhesive agent on a coating material fed by the feed device and/or for activating an adhesive agent on a surface of a workpiece to be coated. The activation device has at least one supply line for supplying an activation medium and a nozzle body having an activation medium intake duct and an activation medium discharge region. The activation medium discharge region has at least one discharge opening， preferably at least two groups of discharge openings. The activation device further has precisely one closing means designed to at least partly close off the discharge opening or individual discharge openings in the activation medium discharge region.
