NGOM-HYCOM 1/50 degree sea surface height, salinity, N. Shelf and DeSoto Canyon, 4/1-9/15, 2011.

The 1/50 deg Northern Gulf of Mexico HYCOM (NGOM-HYCOM) is nested in the NRL's 1/25 deg Gulf of Mexico HYCOM (GOM-HYCOM). NGOM-HYCOM is forced with the 3hourly COAMPS atmospheric forcing and has 30 vertical hybrid layers with extra upper layers to accomodate self circulation. Seventeen rivers are implemented with daily discharges. This dataset contains daily surface variables (ssh and surface salinity) from day 91 (Apr 1) to day 258 (Sept 15) of 2011.
