Data

This dataset contains raw first-order root trait data collected from the Fine Root Ecological Database (FRED), Web of Science (WEB), and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), spanning the years 2000 to 2026. For trait data of the same species, values were averaged. The dataset also includes derived indicators calculated from the raw data. This dataset is used to validate the model proposed in the accompanying paper. File content: This Excel file contains 2 worksheets (Sheets). The main fields are described below (columns marked with * are derived data calculated from raw data; blank cells in the table indicate that no raw measurement value is available for that data point, marked as blank or NA).
