Datasets and code for global ocean heat analysis using an autoregressive artificial neural network (ARANN).<br>Cooling of the global ocean below 2000 m counteracted some of the warming of the shallow ocean over much of the late 20th century. This trend has shifted to warming, leading the deep ocean to absorb a meaningful fraction of total ocean heat during the 21st century. <br>
