The Bear Brook Watershed in Maine, USA: Soil quantitative pit chemistry 1998 - 2010

This dataset includes soil chemistry data for the Bear Brook Watershed in Maine (BBWM). The BBWM consists of two watersheds, the reference East Bear (EB), receiving ambient deposition, and the treated West Bear (WB), which received experimental elevated N+S deposition for 27 years. Quantitative soil pits (71x71 cm) and mini-pits (30x30 cm) were dug at multiple times over the three decades of this experiment, and samples were analyzed for chemistry. Data are available both, as concentrations, as well as nutrient stocks for each watershed.本数据集涵盖美国缅因州贝尔布鲁克流域（Bear Brook Watershed, BBWM）的土壤化学数据。该流域包含两个子流域：作为对照的东贝尔流域（East Bear, EB）接受自然大气沉降，而经处理的西贝尔流域（West Bear, WB）则在27年间接受实验性升高浓度的氮（N）与硫（S）沉降。本实验为期三十年，期间多次开挖规格为71×71厘米的定量土壤采样坑与30×30厘米的微型土壤采样坑，并对采集的样品开展化学分析。各子流域的土壤化学浓度数据与养分储量数据均已公开。
