In a field
survey, 16 teams from 11 European countries measured day- and night-time carbon
dioxide fluxes in 34 streams. The measurements were performed in October 2016,
January 2017, April 2017, and July 2017. Carbon dioxide fluxes with
floating chambers equipped with carbon dioxide loggers were measured together
with other biogeochemical parameters starting at midday (11am GMT) and midnight (11pm
GMT).
