<p>This dataset contains estimated land cover properties required for the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) hydrologic modeling in the Arequipa department of Peru. In a two-step process, first, SWAT equivalent land covers to local land cover types were identified and their properties were used as the base for the database development. Then parameters that control the seasonal growth cycle were modified to better reflect the characteristics of local vegetation. The resulting database and raster land cover map are provided in a format suitable for SWAT model development.</p>
