Gentrification Vulnerability in City of Atlanta
收藏资源简介:
This webmap is created by the Atlanta Regional Commission using methodology for the census tract level gentrification vulnerability assessment from Portland, Oregon’s 2013 Gentrification and Displacement Study: implementing an equitable inclusive development strategy in the context of gentrification. This assessment is just the first of a three phase analysis to identify the gentrification typology of Atlanta's census tracts. Using 5-year estimate data from the American Community Surveys (ACS) for 2006-10 and 2011-15, the gentrification vulnerability assessment identifies census tracts as at risk of gentrification as those that fell below the city average (minus the margin of error) for at least 3 of the 4 criteria: percent renter, percent nonwhite, percent without a BA, and/or median household income. Data Sources: U.S. Census Bureau, Decennial Census, 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey (ACS), 5-year estimates, 2006-10 & 2011-15 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS), 2009-13
