资源简介:
Toxoplasma gondii infection is prevalent worldwide. In the U.S., nearly 11% of adults are seropositive for T. gondii. Major sources of infection with T. gondii include ingested materials and water contaminated with Toxoplasma oocysts from cat feces, infected uncooked/undercooked meat or vertical transmission from an infected mother to her fetus. Toxoplasmosis causes serious complications in people with compromised immune systems or in newborns infected in utero. Eating unprocessed pork from infected pigs is a major source of infection for humans Recent studies in mice and pigs indicated that host liver function is modulated by the infection. In this work presented, we studied the host response to T. gondii infection in liver by RNAseq technology.
