Wastewater regenerating stations in the city of Madrid

This data set provides information on wastewater treatment plants, which have been able to treat 100 % of the waste water corresponding to more than four million inhabitants of the population of Madrid and several of the neighbouring municipalities since 1984. All municipally owned sewage treatment plants have biological primary and secondary treatment, as well as chemical phosphorus removal systems through the addition of ferric chloride. However, the Viveros de la Villa, La Gavia and Sur Oriental plants have a nutrient reduction treatment (phosphorus and nitrogen) both biologically.
