资源简介:
Low dimensional and frustrated magnetic systems are a great source of interest theoretically, and one of the experimental challenges is to find real materials that from the magnetic point of view approximate closely to theoretical models. Here we study a system that is a close to ideal two dimensional (2D) rectangular lattice of magnetic atoms (Fe or Co) coupled along different different axial directions by either F or oxalate groups that act to transmit the magnetic interactions within the 2D plane. Neutron powder diffraction indicates a three dimensional (3D) antiferromagnetic order emerging from these isolated (2D) planes, while magnetic susceptibility indicates two dimensional fluctuations above and possibly also below the ordering temperature. We would like to explore further the magnetic behaviour. The presence of F atoms gives added interest from the entangle µ-F states.
