Number of villages

The dataset contains statistics on administrative area and territorial breakdown units — number of villages__. * __Administrative territory__ — the unit of territorial division of Latvia, in which the local government implements administration within the scope of its competence. * __Ciems__ — a territory where a concentrated building is or is planned, people are living permanently, a relevant infrastructure has been established and a boundary has been established in the county spatial plan. The status of the village is granted and cancelled by the county council on the basis of the municipal spatial plan. * __Mazciems__ — historically established populated area, which has not defined boundaries in the spatial plan of the county and whose name is included in the Local Name Database of the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency. As a result of the 2021 Administrative Territorial Reform, the number of counties in Latvia decreased from 110 to 36.本数据集涵盖行政区划与地域细分单元的统计数据——村庄数量。 * 行政区划地域（Administrative territory）：拉脱维亚的法定地域划分单元，地方政府在此单元范围内依其法定权限行使行政管理职能。 * 聚居村（Ciems）：指已建有或规划有集中建筑群、存在永久常住人口、配套基础设施完备，并已在县级空间规划中划定边界的地域。聚居村的设立与撤销由县议会依据市级空间规划作出决定。 * 历史村落（Mazciems）：指历史沿革形成的聚居区域，未在县级空间规划中划定法定边界，但其名称已纳入拉脱维亚地理空间信息局的本地名称数据库。 2021年行政区划改革实施后，拉脱维亚的县级行政区数量已从110个缩减至36个。
