The dataset contains 4 feature types: Businesses in town, night, 4 m Businesses in town, night, 1.5 m Businesses in town, day, 4 m Businesses in town, night, 1.5 m Noisy businesses in urban areas. In accordance with the requirements of the Noise Order, noise mapping must be carried out for the (i)-labelled companies (IPPC companies) that give rise to noise in larger, overall urban areas. In addition to this, the authorities may also choose to map other noisy undertakings, which make a significant contribution to the noise impact in urban areas. However, it is only relevant to identify the undertakings giving rise to a noise exposure greater than Lden = 55 dB or Lnight = 50 dB in the agglomerations concerned.
