Georeferenced database of Medieval military and religious sites in Northern Italy - ver 1.0

This is the version 1.0 of the georeferenced dataset of Medieval fortifications and religious architectures in Northern Italy. The database spans from the late antique epoch to the 15th century.
The version 1.0 focuses on the Susa Valley (Torino province, Piemonte Region, Italy). being crossed by the via Francigena routes.

The data sources are indicated here as references. The sources of information served only as an initial reference. None of the materials contained in the reference sources has been copied and reused for this dataset. The position of all the sites was validated in the field.
