The Drowned Corridor: A Methodological Approach to Assessing Levantine Coastal Taphonomy Paleolithic shoreline.

This study investigates the impact of post-Pleistocene marine transgression on the archaeological record of the Levantine coast. By analyzing the submergence of seashore cave sites, this paper addresses the significant preservation bias inherent in our current regional datasets. The research explores how the "drowning" of these coastal archives fragments our reconstruction of past human settlement patterns and underscores the critical need to integrate submerged landscape data into the Early Upper Paleolithic chronological and technological framework.
