In this study, total community DNA was isolated from solar saltern in Ribandar, Goa, India. Soil and brine samples were collected from the 0 to 2 cm top layer crystallizer ponds during the salt harvesting phase. Microbial composition is studied through amplicon metagenome sequencing of 16s rRNA targeting V3‐V4 region using metagenomic DNA by illumina MiSeq technology.
