Whole-organism and cellular performance during heat ramp exposure experiments with and without hypercapnia and/or hypoxia on the scallop, Pecten maximus
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains data on filtration rate, routine metabolic rate, haemolymph oxygen partial pressure, intracellular pH, oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC), malondialdehyde (MDA), immunoblotting data for HSP70 and ubiquitin, branched-chain amino acid quantities, activities of caspase-3 and -7 measured during heat ramp experiments of the scallop, Pecten maximus. We studied whole-organism and cellular responses in warming ramps from below to above the species thermal optimum, with and without the additional stressors of hypercapnia (WHc), hypoxia (WHo), and both in combination (DT). Specimens were collected as wild adults in the estuary of Vigo, Spain (~42°14’46.6“N, 8°44’18.5“W) in autumn 2017 and spring 2018. See manuscript, Götze et al. Combined climate stressors constrain various mechanisms for thermal tolerance in the scallop, Pecten maximus, for methodological details and results interpretation.
