Transcriptomes of pools of midguts (n=8) in biological triplicate from unfed compared to bacteria-fed Ixodes ricinus adult females. Pantoea sp. and Micrococcus luteus previously isolated from unfed adult female midgut were used to feed ticks with 107 bacteria/ml. After 1 hour of feeding midguts were extracted and RNA was isolated. The transcriptome was sequenced for each library in order to identify differentially expressed genes in response to bacterial intake.
