Comparison of metabolite levels in skin samples from healthy individuals and patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Relative levels of metabolites in skin samples from healthy controls (HC) and from healthy skin and lesions of HS patients (H-HS and L-HS, respectively) are compared. A total of 500 biochemicals were identified in our dataset. Metabolite data were log2-transformed and normalized using Pareto scaling. The statistical analysis was performed on R software using the limma package. False discovery rates (FDR) were calculated using the Benjamini-Hochberg method.本研究对健康对照（healthy controls, HC）、HS患者的健康皮肤（H-HS）及皮损（L-HS）的皮肤样本中的代谢物（metabolites）相对水平进行了对比分析。本数据集中共鉴定出500种生化分子。代谢物数据经log2对数转换后，采用帕累托缩放（Pareto scaling）进行归一化处理。统计分析基于R软件，借助limma包完成。错误发现率（false discovery rates, FDR）通过本杰明尼-霍赫贝格（Benjamini-Hochberg）方法计算得到。
