The diamondback moth is a worldwide vegetable pest and is capable of migrating long distances, which feed on the leaves of cruciferous crops. However, this moth has developed resistance to all classes of pesticides. The pregnant diamondback females are strongly drawn and sensitive to the host plant's odor, while the mature male moths are strongly drawn to the sex pheromone.
