Mean Annual Blue Water Flows (mm)

This data set contains the MEAN ANNUAL "BLUE" WATER FLOWS (mm) in South Africa.The study intended to determine the major driver of change of terrestrial water balance over both space and time. Due to the manipulation of the Earth`s natural land cover through conversions for food and fodder production, both rainfed and irrigation and human habitation. The conversions from natural land covers result in changes in the partitioning of precipitation into so-called "blue" water, i.e. water available in rivers and lakes.

本数据集收录了南非境内的年均蓝水（Blue Water）径流量（单位：毫米）。该项研究旨在探明驱动陆地水平衡在时空维度上产生变化的核心影响因子。由于人类为开展粮食与饲料生产（涵盖雨养农业与灌溉农业）以及进行人居活动，通过土地转换改造了地球原生陆地覆被。原生陆地覆被的此类转变会改变降水的分配过程，进而形成所谓的“蓝水”，即河流与湖泊中可获取的水资源。
