The requirements of an urban planning document are defined in Article R123-11 of the Urban Planning Code. A prescription is in the form of surface, linear or point information which appears on the graphic documents of the PLU or the POS. A prescription which superimposes on an area of the planning document generally imposes an additional constraint on the regulation of the area.城市规划文件的相关要求由《城市规划法典》（Urban Planning Code）第R123-11条予以明确规定。规划管控要求以面状、线状或点状信息的形式，体现在地方城市规划（PLU, Plan Local d'Urbanisme）或土地占用规划（POS, Plan d'Occupation des Sols）的图示文件中。若某一管控要求叠加覆盖于规划文件的某一区域，则通常会对该区域的规划管控规则施加额外约束。
