Use of environmental services

Data collection on environmental expenditure accounts, i.e. economic resources allocated by national economic operators to environmental protection. Presented through the dimensions of the type of environmental activity and the type of use of environmental services. Classifications used: Environmental Activities and Expenditure Classification (CEPA 2000). Statistical observation unit: economic entities, including households. Statistical survey population: households, non-financial corporations, general government, rest of the world sector: – general government and non-financial corporations as institutional sectors providing environmental services; – households, general government and non-financial corporations as consumers of environmental services; – the rest of the world as the recipient or payer of environmental transfers. Economic operators in the country concerned are active in mining and quarrying (Section B), manufacturing (Section C), electricity, gas, steam supply and air conditioning (Section D), water supply, waste water treatment, waste management and remediation (Section E), construction (Section F), transport and storage (Section H) activities under Rev. 2 of the ECEC. Environmental costs of other economic activities (except the public sector) under Rev. 2 of the ECEC are not assessed. Geographical coverage: the entire economic territory of the country.
