Salinity and drivers (human, geographic, hydroclimatic) datasets for assessing freshwater salinisation in river basins around the world

This dataset contains observed salinity (EC) data from 401 river sub-basins (within 7 different regional river basins), as well as various driver variables used to assess driver contributions to observed salinity levels and trends within these rivers. Shapefiles of the river basins are also included, divided by the regional basin to which they belong (i.e. 7 shapefiles; 1 for each regional basin).
