Skin microbiota in liver transplant patients and health control.

Skin microbiota samples from the pretibial region were collected during the perioperative period from patients with end-stage liver disease (ESLD) undergoing liver transplantation and from healthy controls. 16S rRNA sequencing was performed to investigate potential associations between the skin microbiota and various serological indicators as well as pruritus scores.
