Nest survival and failure in ruffs breeding on grazed coastal meadows

This project investigates the daily nest survival of the ruff (Calidris pugnax), an endangered shorebird, and its association with social and spatial characteristics of their habitat. Using a Bayesian approach, we assessed daily nest survival rates accounting for different sources of mortality. Our study aims to provide insights that can aid in the conservation of this species by understanding the threats they face during nesting.
