Nitrate (15N) Uptake near Palmer Station, 2012-2013

Nitrate uptake by the bulk phytoplankton community was determined using tracer (<10%) additions of labeled 15-NO3. Samples were collected by Go-Flo from 5 depths 0, 5, 10, 20, 65 m and incubated for 24 h at light levels of 100%, 50%, 25%, 10%, and 0% surface irradiance, respectively.通过添加占比低于10%的同位素标记15-硝酸根（15-NO3）作为示踪剂，测定浮游植物总群落的硝酸盐摄取速率。采用Go-Flo采水器采集0、5、10、20、65米共5个深度的水样，并分别在100%、50%、25%、10%、0%海面辐照度的光照条件下培养24小时。
