Maintenance works and operations on a watercourse have an impact on the surrounding nature and are regulated by regulations. In a watercourse, only work that meets the definition of regular maintenance can be carried out without a prior record.
In-water works requiring greater intervention than regular maintenance must be submitted a prior declaration or authorisation file under the Water Act. Watercourse mapping in the Landes Department is published on the State Services website. It is an evolutionary tool updated annually, in April.
