WAYS TO ENHANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COMMERCIAL BANKS' INVESTMENT LENDING IN SUPPORTING ECONOMIC SECTORS

This study analyzes the national experience of enhancing the effectiveness of commercial banks’ investment lending in supporting economic sectors in Uzbekistan. The research highlights the role of investment credits in financing priority sectors, modernizing production capacities, and promoting sustainable economic growth. Special attention is given to the alignment of banks’ investment lending policies with state development strategies, as well as to the improvement of project appraisal and credit risk management mechanisms. The study emphasizes that strengthening cooperation between commercial banks and government institutions contributes to increasing the efficiency of investment lending and ensures balanced sectoral development of the national economy.
