Cormorant abundance, diets, and foraging activities in Arizona

Data contained here collected in natural and artificial waters across Arizona, USA, 2017-2019. The study focused on two species of cormorants, double-crested and neotropic cormorants, their foraging habits, seasonal numbers, and diet on fish. We highlight cormorant feeding habits across artificial waters in the community fishing program that are stocked with sportfish, and we examined environmental factors that may influence where cormorants congregate and feed at community waters. Data files included are estimated fish losses at community fishing waters (CFPs), habitat covariate data for CFP waters, cormorant feeding observations, and R code (and habitat data in CSV format) used to run the regression analysis.本数据集采集自2017至2019年间美国亚利桑那州全域的天然与人工水域。本研究聚焦于两种鸬鹚——双冠鸬鹚（double-crested cormorants）与新热带鸬鹚（neotropic cormorants），针对其觅食习性、季节种群数量及鱼类食性展开探讨。本研究重点关注参与社区垂钓项目、投放游钓鱼种的人工水域内的鸬鹚觅食行为，并分析了可能影响鸬鹚在社区垂钓水域聚集与觅食的环境因素。本次纳入的数据集文件包括：社区垂钓水域（community fishing waters，缩写CFP）的鱼类预估损失量数据、CFP水域的生境协变量数据、鸬鹚觅食观测记录，以及用于开展回归分析的R代码（附带CSV格式的生境数据）。
