Newborn Elizabethkingia anophelis meningitis originating from a contamined water reservoir of a bottle preparation machine

A newborn in the Netherlands hospitalized for treatment of a community-acquired meningitis caused by Elizabethkingia anophelis. Analysis by cgMLST based on the core genome sequence of the E. anophelis strain isolated from cerebrospinal fluid showed that it is clonally related to samples of the water reservoir of an bottle preparation machine that had been used at home.
