An area of employment is a geographical area within which most of the workers reside and work, and in which establishments can find the bulk of the labour force needed to fill the jobs offered.Dividing into employment areas constitutes a partition of the territory adapted to local labour market studies. Zoning also defines territories relevant to local diagnostics and can guide the delimitation of territories for the implementation of territorial policies initiated by public authorities or local actors. This zoning is defined for both metropolitan France and the French overseas departments.The updated breakdown is based on the commuting flows of workers observed during the 2006 census.就业区（employment area）指绝大多数劳动者居住与就业的地理区域，同时也是用工单位能够获取岗位所需大部分劳动力的地域范围。将国土划分为就业区，是适配地方劳动力市场研究的地域分区方案。该分区不仅划定了适用于地方诊断分析的地域范畴，还可为公共部门或地方主体发起的地域政策实施提供地域划定的参考依据。本次分区覆盖法国本土与法国海外省，其更新后的划分体系基于2006年人口普查中观测到的劳动者通勤流量数据构建。
