The genomes of early-branching streptophyte green algae shed light on the dawn of plant terrestrialization. Chlorokybus atmophyticus & Mesostigma viride

Streptophyte algae has been reported to play a crucial role in transition from aquatic algae to embryophytes during the evolution of life. Here, we generate two draft genomes of the early-branching Streptophyte algae, Mesostigma viride and Chlorokybus atmophyticus.
