People Working Together in the Peel-Harvey Catchment Stage 3

In a collaborative effort to deliver enduring conservation outcomes for the Peel-Harvey Catchment, this project will deliver a diverse range of local-scale conservation actions through a partnership between the Peel Harvey Catchment Council, local governments, community organisations, local Landcare groups and the Murray Districts Aboriginal Association. Green Army participants will gain practical experience and will work alongside other NRM practitioners and community members in activities that tackle threats to threatened species (including the Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo), threatened ecological communities (including the Lake Clifton Thrombolites), and the ecological character of the Peel-Yalgorup System.

为助力皮尔-哈维集水区（Peel-Harvey Catchment）实现长期可持续的保育成效，本项目将通过与皮尔-哈维集水区委员会、地方政府、社区组织、本地土地关怀小组及默里地区原住民协会的合作，开展一系列多样化的本地尺度保育行动。绿色军团项目参与者将获得实操经验，并与其他自然资源管理（Natural Resource Management, NRM）从业者及社区成员协同开展工作，以应对受威胁物种（包括卡纳比黑凤头鹦鹉（Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo））、受威胁生态群落（包括克莱夫顿湖叠层石（Lake Clifton Thrombolites））以及皮尔-亚尔古普系统（Peel-Yalgorup System）的生态特征所面临的威胁。
