The mediator role of moral disengagement and moderator roles of gender in the relationship between Chinese adolescents’ cumulative Risk and their school bullying

A sample of 509 Chinese adolescents completed the measures of cumulative risk (parent-child relationship, friend support and school connectedness), moral disengagements, and school bullying. The results indicated that moral disengagement to partially mediate the link between cumulative risk and school bullying. Moreover, the indirect association between cumulative risk and school bullying were moderated by gender, in that these effects were stronger for male than for females.
