Between 2009 and 2023, generic drugs became more and more prominent into the hospitals' market in Italy. This statistic shows different trends in generic drugs consumption in hospitals in the country. According to the data, the share of generic drugs of the total sales volume in hospitals, in particular, increased threefold, going from 10 percent in 2009 to 33.5 percent in 2023.
