ASSESSMENT OF THE ANTIDIABETIC AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITIES OF CERTAIN MEDICINAL PLANTS
收藏资源简介:
This thesis aimed to evaluate the antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory activities of selected medicinal plants. Tobacco, mint, sage, senna, rosehip, harmala, juniper, and chamomile were chosen as research materials. Their ethanol extracts were investigated for α-amylase inhibitory activity and membrane-stabilizing effects on erythrocytes. The findings demonstrated that several plant extracts exhibited considerable α-amylase inhibition along with notable anti-inflammatory potential. In particular, juniper, harmala, chamomile, and sage showed comparatively higher biological activity. These results suggest that the studied medicinal plants may serve as promising natural sources of bioactive compounds for the development of antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory agents.
