Diversity of Crawling Species in Meadow versus Woodland Region

The types of species (or taxa) and total abundance of different land organisms was recorded in a meadow and woodland region. This was conducted through a quadrat to asses the total number and diversity of organisms within the area. Only crawling creatures were incuded in this observational study, as opposed to any creature flying over the quadrat. These trials were conduted eight times in both a meadow area and woodland region on the Keele Campus of York University. Grass length, leaf abundance, difficulty in observing ground and ground moisture were also recorded.
