Science, Technology and Society. Interests and perceptions of public regarding scientific research and technological applications

The key objective of the project was that of gathering empirical information, through a social survey, in order to map out public interests and perceptions regarding science and its applications, while also exploring their impact on science public policies. The project was so designed as to make it fully comparable with the Standard Eurobarometer from the European Union Member States, while also providing r oom for the exploration of specific issues related to the Romanian public attitudes towards various types of knowledge, social practices and beliefs. The project survey was undertaken in July-September 2009 on a randomly selected multistage stratified sample, statistically representative for the Romanian population over the 18 years of age. The project was financed by the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research (ANCS) within the framework of the programme PN Capacities 2008 under the Contract No. 203 din 10.09.2008.本项目的核心宗旨为通过社会调研收集实证资料，以梳理公众对科学及其应用的兴趣与认知，并探究上述因素对科学公共政策的影响。本项目的设计在充分适配欧盟成员国标准欧洲晴雨表（Standard Eurobarometer）可比框架的同时，预留了探索罗马尼亚公众针对各类知识、社会实践与信仰的特定态度议题的空间。本次项目调研于2009年7月至9月间开展，采用多阶段分层随机抽样方法，所获样本为罗马尼亚18周岁及以上全体人口的统计学代表性样本。本项目由罗马尼亚国家科学研究委员会（ANCS）依据2008年PN Capacities计划，通过2008年9月10日签订的第203号合同获得资助。
